Studi Pengaruh Temperatur terhadap Modulus Kekakuan Campuran Menggunakan Aspal Berpolimer Bitu Bale

ABSTRAK

Jalan merupakan infrastruktur dasar yang berperan sangat penting dalam menunjang kehidupan masyarakat sehari-hari. Untuk memenuhi peranan itu maka dikembangkan campuran beton aspal menggunakan aspal berpolimer BituBale, diharapkan campuran ini dapat mengurangi kerusakan yang diakibatkan oleh perubahan cuaca yang tidak menentu. Untuk menjaga ketahanan campuran beton aspal agar tercapai sesuai dengan kebutuhan selain dengan pemilihan jenis material adalah dengan memperhatikan tegangan dan regangan yang menunjukkan kekakuan dari suatu campuran. Dari hasil penelitian didapat persamaan modulus kekakuan campuran terhadap temperatur yaitu  untuk metode Shell, dan  untuk metode Nottingham. Nilai korelasi yang didapat antara modulus kekakuan campuran terhadap temperatur sangat baik sebesar 98,2% untuk metode Shell, dan 99,5% untuk metode Nottingham.

ABSTRACT

Road is a basic infrastructure that have a very important role in supporting the daily life of society. To fulfill that role, a mixture of asphalt concrete using BituBale polymeryzed asphalt was developed, it is expected that this mixture can reduce the damage caused by unpredictable weather changes. To maintain the durability of the asphalt concrete mix in order to be fit as required in addition with the selection of the material is with consideration to the stress and strain that shows the stiffness of a mixture. From the research it was obtained that the equation of mixed stiffness modulus to temperature is  for Shell method, and  for Nottingham method. The value of the correlation obtained between the stiffness modulus of the mixture with the temperature was 98.2% for the Shell method, and 99.5% for the Nottingham method which was excellent.
