Kajian Eksperimental Perilaku Lentur Balok Laminasi Lengkung dari Kayu Jabon

ABSTRAK

Kayu laminasi merupakan salah satu produk kayu rekayasa berupa kayu komposit sebagai representasi yang baik dalam efisiensi penggunaan sumber daya alam yang tersedia dari HTI dan HTR. Penggunaan kayu laminasi bertujuan untuk mengatasi keterbatasan dimensi kayu untuk aplikasi komponen struktural. Pada penelitian ini dibuat balok kayu laminasi menggunakan kayu Jabon (kayu cepat tumbuh) dengan dimensi 50 mm * 50 mm * 760 mm (dengan tebal tiap lamina 5 mm) dan tinggi pelengkung 5 cm, serta variasi bentuk yaitu horizontal dan lengkung. Perekat yang digunakan yaitu perekat sintesis tipe Poly Urethane merek Excel One. Pembebanan pada balok dilakukan di atas tumpuan sederhana dengan metode one point loading. Hasil pengujian memperlihatkan kapasitas lentur balok kayu glulam lengkung dalam memikul beban maksimum meningkat sebesar 18,67% dibandingkan dengan balok kayu glulam horizontal.

ABSTRACT

Laminate wood is one of wood engineering products in the form of composite wood as a good representation in the efficient use of natural resources available from HTI and HTR. The use of laminated wood aims to overcome the limitations of wood dimensions for the application of structural components. In this study, laminated wooden beams using Jabon wood (fast growing tree) with dimensions of 50 mm * 50 mm * 760 mm (with a thickness of 5 mm each lamina) and 5 cm high arch and horizontal and curved shape variations. The adhesive used is Poly Urethane type synthesized adhesive of Excel One. The loading on the beam is done on a simple pedestal with one point loading method. The test results show that the flexural capacity of the arched laminated beam in carrying peak load is increased by 18.67% compared to the horisontal laminated wooden beam.
