Studi Penggunaan Limbah Las Karbit Untuk Bahan Tambah Pada Perkerasan Laston Gradasi AC-WC

ABSTRAK

Jalan merupakan prasarana transportasi yang menghubungkan satu daerah ke daerah lainnya serta meningkatkan proses perkembangan ekonomi masyarakat. Seiring berkembangnya kendaraan semakin bervariasi mulai dari jenis kendaraan dan berat kendaraan, hal tersebut mengakibatkan lapisan perkerasan sering mengalami kerusakan, oleh karena itu diperlukan adanya penelitian perkerasan yang kuat menahan deformasi pada beban lalu lintas.

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Laston AC-WC menggunakan aspal pen 60 bercampur dengan limbah las karbit 2,5 % dan 5 %. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui parameter Marshall dari karakteristik beton aspal dengan jenis aspal yang berbeda. Hasil dari parameter Marshall didapat kadar aspal optimum (KAO) untuk aspal 0 % sebesar 6,6 %, aspal karbit 2,5 % didapat 6,7 %, dan untuk aspal karbit 5 % sebesar 6,8 %.

ABSTRACT

The road is the infrastructure of transportation which connects an area to the others, then able to increase economic development. By increasing the number of vehicles, the projection plan of pavement could not be the reference, where the layer of pavement having decay considerably is the surface of the layer. Therefore, it is necessary to have a study of pavement which is able to sustain deformations regarding to loads of traffic.

This research was conducted for Laston AC-WC using penetration 60 of asphalt mixing waste carbide of weild 2.5% and 5%. The purpose of this study is to understand the Marshall parameter as characteristic of the asphalt concretes and samples. The results of Marshall parameter showed that  the Optimum Asphalt Content, which was obtained were 6.6%;6.7%; and 6.8% for asphalt 0%; waste of carbide of weild 2.5% and 5%.
