Semakin bertambahnya jumlah permintaan produk engine mounting, maka pabrik ingin meningkatkan produktivitas. Pembuatan produk engine mounting menggunakan teknik press dies. Salah satu untuk mengurangi waktu dan mengurangi penggunaan jumlah dies dan punch yaitu dengan membuat combination dies. Perancangan combination dies ini menggunakan metode Verein Deutsche Ingineur (VDI) 2222. Tahapan pada VDI 2222 dimulai dari analisis, lalu membuat konsep combination dies, dan yang terakhir adalah perancangan combination dies. Setelah tahapan rancangan combination dies menghitung biaya pembuatan combination dies. Dengan rancangan combination dies yang baru dapat meminimasi jumlah proses sehingga menambah kapasitas produksi dan menekan biaya produksi engine mounting.

ABSTRACT

The increasing number of demand for engine mounting, so the factory wants to increase productivity. Product manufacturing engine mounting using the technique of press dies. It reduces the amount of time and reduces the use of dies and punch is to create a combination dies. The design a combination dies uses Verein Deutsche Ingineur (VDI) 2222 method. Stages in the VDI 2222 starts from the analysis, and make the concept of combination dies, and the last one is the design of combination dies. After the phase of design combination dies next step is calculate the cost of manufacture of combination dies. With the new design of combination dies can minimizing the number of operations so that increase production capacity and reduce the cost of production of engine mounting.
