STUDY ON SILICA FUME VARIATIONS IN REACTIVE POWDER SELF COMPACTING CONCRETE (RPSCC)

ABSTRAK

Perkembangan infrastruktur mendorong inovasi beton bermutu tinggi, salah satunya Reactive Powder Self Compacting Concrete (RPSCC). Diakibatkan belum adanya standarisasi RPC di Indonesia, pendekatan SCC menjadi opsi relevan untuk menghasilkan beton yang efisien, kuat, dan mudah diaplikasikan, sehingga menghasilkan beton RPSCC. Penelitian ini mengkaji beton RPSCC dimana variasi kuat tekan rencana adalah 50 MPa dan 60 MPa. Hasil menunjukkan, pada rencana 50 MPa, campuran dengan 10% silica fume berhasil mencapai kuat tekan 55,38 MPa, sedangkan seluruh variasi pada rencana 60 MPa belum memenuhi target. Penambahan 10% silica fume memberikan kinerja optimal, sementara peningkatan kadar menurunkan kuat tekan. Penelitian ini memberikan acuan proporsi silica fume yang optimal untuk RPSCC.

ABSTRACT

The development of infrastructure has driven innovations in high-performance concrete, one of which is Reactive Powder Self-Compacting Concrete (RPSCC). Due to the absence of RPC standardization in Indonesia, the SCC approach is considered a relevant option to produce concrete that is efficient, high-strength, and easy to apply, resulting in RPSCC. This study investigates RPSCC with target compressive strengths of 50 MPa and 60 MPa. The results show that for the 50 MPa target, the mixture with 10% silica fume achieved a compressive strength of 55.38 MPa, while all mixtures for the 60 MPa target failed to meet the required strength. The addition of 10% silica fume provided optimal performance, whereas higher contents reduced compressive strength. This study provides guidance on the optimal silica fume proportion for RPSCC.
