Review Organic Rankine Cycle-: Penerapan di Kapal
Sari

ABSTRACT
The maritime sector, as one of the main industries that use fuel oil, contributes to greenhouse gas emissions such as CO2, NOx, and SOx, reaching 2-3% of the world's total emissions. These ship exhaust emissions have a significant impact on the environment, including climate change, air pollution, and other negative impacts. These impacts can be reduced by implementing a waste heat recovery system on ships using Organic Rankine Cycle (SRO)/Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technology. A literature review related to the concept of ORC on ships is carried out starting from determining the heat source from the ship's engine, fluid type selection, component selection, and economic aspects. The results obtained are that exhaust gas heat is the most suitable for the application of ORC on ships, the working fluids used are R1234ze, R245fa, R600, and R600a. With the use of ORC, the cruise fuel saving is about 10% - 15% with payback period of 6.52 years (R1234z), 6.19 years (R245fa), 6.31 years (R600) and 6.42 years (R600a) respectively.
