ABSTRAK
Perkembangan teknologi berpengaruh terhadap semua bidang, salah satunya dibidang pembangunan sehingga memacu berbagai inovasi material yang mendukung proses pembangunan serta memudahkan dalam proses produksi hingga tahap konstruksi. Expanded Polystyrene Panel (EPS) adalah salah satu material bangunan yang merupakan terobosan terbaru material bangunan yang menggunakan bahan dasar dominan EPS sebagai bahan pengisi material. EPS ini dapat diaplikasikan pada dinding, lantai, tangga, dan pada fasade bangunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan penerapan material Expanded Polystirene fasad bangunan Masjid Al- Multazam, Hotel Moxy, dan Gallery Maja House, ditinjau dari aspek estetika dan konstruksi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengkaji proses pembuatan material EPS, aspekaspek estetika pada bangunan masjid, hotel dan galeri, serta konstruksi system fasad pada bangunan Masjid Al- Multazam, Hotel Moxy, dan Gallery Maja House. Teknik pengumpulan data didasarkan pada proses observasi. Observasi dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi bangunan yang akan diteliti. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dikaji ulang dengan perbandingan data lapangan dengan teori mengenai estetika dan yang dijelaskan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. ABSTRACT
Technological developments affect all areas, one of them in the field of development so as to spur various material innovations that support the development process and facilitate in the production process until the construction phase. Expanded Polystyrene Panel (EPS) is one of the building materials which is the latest breakthrough building material using the dominant base material of EPS as material filler material. This EPS can be applied to walls, floors, stairs, and on the facade of the building. This research aims to describe the application of Expanded Polystirene material facade of Al-Multazam Mosque, Hotel Moxy, and Gallery Maja House, in terms of aesthetics and construction aspects. The study was conducted by examining the process of making EPS material, aesthetic aspects of mosque building, hotel and gallery, and construction of facade system in AlMultazam Mosque building, Hotel Moxy, and Gallery Maja House. Data collection techniques are based on the process of observation. Observations were made to identify the buildings to be studied. The collected data is then reviewed by comparison of field data with the theory of aesthetics and which is described descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively.
