Penerapan Konsep Islam Pada Perancangan Masjid Salman ITB Bandung

ABSTRAK

Sebuah desain selalu mengalami perubahan dari zaman ke zaman, ini disebabkan oleh kemajuan teknologi maupun daya imajinasi dan kreatifitas arsitek. Kemajuan suatu peradaban dapat ditandai oleh suatu inovasi ditengah suatu kebiasaan umum.

Masjid Salman ITB memiliki sudut pandang berbeda dalam perancangannya, sang arsitek mencoba membantah hal-hal umum di masyarakat yang sebenarnya tidak pernah ada dalam ajaran islam, bahwa sebuah masjid identik dengan atap kubah, ornamen, dan kaligrafi.

Masjid Salman sendiri memiliki desain bentuk dan ruang yang memunculkan persepsi tersendiri, baik yang dikonsepkan melalui konsep Islam maupun hasil pengamatan subjektif. Menarik untuk mengkaji keterkaitan antara konsep perancangan bentuk dan ruang dalam bangunan Masjid Salman terhadap konsep Islam.

Melalui analisis diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan konsep Islam pada perancangan Masjid Salman diterjemahkan secara bijak dan cerdas oleh sang arsitek. Temuan-temuan baru dalam rancangan Masjid Salman yang tidak berkubah, desain fasade dan bentuk merupakan hasil inovasi dari pemikiran konsep islam.

ABSTRACT

A design always changes over time, is due to the advances in technology and the power of imagination and creativity of architects. Progress of a civilization can be characterized by an innovation amid a general habit.

Salman Mosque ITB have a different perspective in its design, the architect tried to disprove the common things in the community that does not really exist in the teachings of Islam, that is identical to the roof of a mosque dome, ornaments, and calligraphy.

Salman mosque itself has a shape and a design that gave rise to the perception of its own, whether conceived through the concept of Islam as well as the results of subjective observation. It is interesting to examine the relationship between form and space design concepts in buildings Salman mosque against Islamic concept.

Through analysis obtainable concluded that the application of the concept of Islamic mosque design Salman wisely and intelligently translated by the architect. New findings in salman mosque design, like doesn't use a dome , facade design and shape is the result of inovation from concept islam thoughts.
