USULAN PERBAIKAN KUALITAS PROSES PRODUKSI RUDDER TILLER DI PT. PINDAD BANDUNG MENGGUNAKAN FMEA DAN FTA

Produk rudder tiller adalah salah satu komponen steering gear kapal laut agar nakhoda dapat mengemudikan kapal dengan baik. Selama ini proses produksi tidak cukup baik karena jumlah cacat yang terjadi mencapai 50% dalam satu tahun. Kecacatan produk berupa keretakan di dalam material dan penyimpangan bentuk serta ukuran dimensi gambar produk. Untuk memperbaiki proses produksi perlu mengidentifikasi jenis kegagalan, akibat kegagalan, dan penyebab masalah. Untuk memperbaiki proses produksi rudder tiller digunakan metode FMEA dan FTA. Berdasarkan metode FMEA, proses produksi yang dipilih untuk diperbaiki berdasarkan RPN tertinggi, yaitu proses boring, proses pemotongan besi plat, serta proses pengelasan antara Besi Plat dan SM 400 4 (Plate). Hal ini dilakukan untuk meminimasi produk cacat dan menjaga kepercayaan konsumen terhadap perusahaan.

ABSTRACT

Product rudder tiller is one component of a ship steering gear so that the captain can steer the ship properly and all this time the production process is not good enough because the number of defects up to 50% in one year. The product defects are cracks in the material, dimensional deviations shape and size product images. To improve the production process need to identify the type of failure mode, cause of failure, and effect of failure. The method used to fix the rudder tiller production process are FMEA and FTA. In the procedure of FMEA method that chosen production process to be repaired based on the highest RPN. From all of the production process which gives the highest value of the cumulative percentage RPN consists of three processes are boring process, cutting iron plate process, and welding process between the iron plate and SM 400 4 (Plate). This is done to minimize product defects and to keep customer trust about the company.
