EVALUASI PENERAPAN METODE 5R DALAM PENINGKATAN PRODUKTIVITAS PEMBUATAN RADIATOR BODY PROTECTOR (STUDI KASUS DI PT. ALBA UNGGUL METAL)

Perkembangan industri yang semakin meningkat mendorong PT. Alba Unggul Metal untuk meningkatkan produktivitasnya agar mampu bersaing dengan perusahaan lain. Dalam upaya meningkatkan produktivitas sejak awal tahun 2011 PT. Alba Unggul Metal melakukan perbaikan dengan menerapkan metode 5R (Ringkas, Rapi, Resik, Rawat, Rajin). Saat ini perusahaan belum melakukan evaluasi penerapan metode 5R. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan pengukuran produktivitas dan evaluasi penerapan metode 5R yang sudah dilakukan agar dapat diketahui pencapaian kesesuaian tujuan perusahaan terhadap penerapan metode 5R. Evaluasi penerapan metode 5R dilakukan di area kerja yang memiliki indeks produktivitas terbesar dan terkecil untuk mengetahui penyebab terjadinya penyimpangan penerapan metode 5R yang sudah dilakukan dan memberikan usulan terhadap penyimpangan yang terjadi.

ABSTRACT

Increasing industrial development encouraged PT Alba Unggul Metal to improve productivity in order to compete with other companies. In an effort to increase productivity since the early 2011 PT. Alba Unggul Metal make improvements by implementing 5S method (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain). Currently the company has not conducted an evaluation method application 5S. This research will be conducted productivity measurement and evaluation of the implementation of 5S method that has been done in order to know the achievement of corporate objectives suitability to the application of the method 5S. Evaluation of the implementation of 5S method performed in the work area which has a productivity index of the largest and the smallest deviation to determine the cause of the implementation of 5S method that has been done and make suggestions to the deviations.Keywords: Productivity, Application of 5R Method, Evaluation.
