Peningkatan Daya Tarik Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Itenas Berdasarkan Teori Dasar Pembentukan Kelompok

Tahun 2010 Itenas mengadakan program baru yaitu Sistem Kredit Kemahasiswaan (SKK) yang bertujua nmembekali kemampuan soft skill. Program SKK dapat ditunjang oleh Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) di Itenas. Namun minat mahasiswa Itenas (angkatan 2011) yang menjadi anggota UKM hanya 26,27%. Maka perlu diketahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi minat mahasiswa dengan memperhatikan teori dasar pembentukan kelompok. Metode yang digunakan adalah Analisis Faktor. Hasil pengolahan data diketahui bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat mahasiswa adalah status dan harga diri, interaksi dan afiliasi, rasa aman secara akademis, dukungan timbale balik yang positif, identitas sosial, dukungan emosional, saling tergantung untuk mencapai suatu tujuan, sosial, dan kebutuhan untuk evaluasi diri terhadap anggota lainnya.

Abstract

In 2010, Itenas develops a new program called SKK, which to increase the soft skill’s ability of students. The program can be supported by UKM. They are only 26,27% of Itenas’s student (especially the sophomore) who join UKM.UKM should have to know what factors that could affect the interest of the student with the basic theory of the group’s establishment. The method which is used is factor analysis. The result shows that some factors which is related to the student’s interest are status and self-esteem, interaction and affiliation, academic security, mutual support positive social identity, emotional support, interdependent to achieve a goal, the social, and the need for self-evaluation of the other member.
